Serene Lakeview

Before the remodel, the home almost felt like it had been designed for a different site. The living spaces all turned their backs to the lake and open space, and the kitchen was stylistically very different from both the clients' own aesthetic, but also the overall design of the home. We worked with our clients to provide a new layout for the great room that would better utilize the space, reorienting the dining and living spaces. Adding a large window and window seat facing the view allows everyone in the family an opportunity to enjoy the view. The new kitchen design celebrates our clients' love of food and wine while still reflecting their minimalist aesthetic.

Off the great room is the entertainment room. Rather than close this space off, we provided a larger opening, centered on the kitchen island which lets people connect whether they are watching tv, playing the piano, or doing homework on the new custom cabinetry. Where there had previously been an overly large powder room, it was reconfigured and redesigned with the additional space allocated to the adjacent office space.

The primary suite was upgraded as well - with new finishes in the bathroom, a new fully custom built-in closet, and a peaceful bedroom complete with new wainscot, custom lighting, custom make-up table and dresser.
