Born in Kyrgyzstan, Arina grew up in its capital – Bishkek, inspired by its greenery, walkability, and accessible public transport. She has developed a strong appreciation for nature and the brutalist architecture of the Soviet era with cultural elements of Central Asia, believing in the symbiotic existence of people and places. Being exposed to various cultures and languages, her desire to explore the world led her to Washington State University to study architecture and art, where her endless love for the Pacific Northwest began. After graduation, Arina moved to Seattle, getting hands-on experience working on residential projects all across Washington state with additional speciality in biomedical research facilities. She tries to bring balanced design, rooted in its context and inhabitants, combining the best aspects of architecture: art and functionality. Currently, Arina is expanding her knowledge and working on broad types of projects that enhance communities.
With art being her life long hobby, Arina continues to draw in her free time, focusing on digital illustration with her undying Wacom Tablet purchased at a local store in Kyrgyzstan more than 10 years ago, which has traveled with her since, capturing memorable moments and encounters. She speaks multiple languages and enjoys movies that make no sense and no money.
