Rainier Ave South Mixed-Use

This new building addresses the neighborhood's need for multi-family housing and live-work spaces, featuring a unique exterior that blends with the surrounding architecture while highlighting its commercial spaces, complemented by a tenant and visitor parking lot with sustainable features like bio-retention planters and a vertical screening trellis for added neighborhood integration.

At the corner of Rainier Avenue South and Lucille Street, this new mixed-used building seeks fills a need in the neighborhood for multi-family housing and live-work space for the local community. Exterior materials were carefully chosen for cohesive integration with the surrounding structures while offering a unique feeling at the corner and along the street level for the new commercial spaces that lets passersby know they are approaching something unique to pay attention to.

A surface parking lot in the rear of the building serves tenants and visitors with bio-retention planters in the alley alongside driveways for sustainable on-site water infiltration. A vertical screening trellis further adds to the neighborhood integration to screen otherwise blank walls and provide additional opportunities for vegetation.
