Sunset Hill Remodel Drawing.png

Sunset Hill, Seattle, WA

Benefiting from great bones and a good location, small changes added up to make a big difference in this Sunset Hill charmer. Three different ceiling heights were unified to make the rooms feel more connected.  New cased openings and wainscoting were added.  New hardwood floors and all new lighting were added throughout.  New custom cabinets and quartz countertops help bring a more updated aesthetic to the home.

The home was reworked to create a more open and useable floorplan that involved relocating the living, kitchen and dining spaces. Removing an old brick fireplace that divided the rooms helped to reorient the connection between the spaces and create a more intuitive flow into and through the residence. The master bedroom area was also redesigned to increase functional closet space.

All the modifications were accomplished within the existing footprint of the home and with minimal revisions to the exterior for new windows. This home's new layout is warm and inviting, creating layers of spaces for the owners to gather with their guests no matter the event.
