George Maroussis

George was not only born and raised in Seattle but with his love for the urban environment and surrounding natural beauty, he couldn’t imagine calling any other city home. He obtained his Bachelor of Art in Architectural Studies and his Master of Architecture from the University of Washington. Through study abroad programs and an affinity for traveling, he has spent time in Scandinavia, Italy, Japan, and India, and now makes it a goal to travel someplace new every year.

George was one of the first to join the Atelier Drome team and has become a resource in the office for all projects big or small. His wide-ranging experience includes many single-family residences, restaurants, bars and coffee houses throughout the metro area, and two concepts at SeaTac Airport. He is currently managing an expansive single-family residence now under construction on Lake Washington.

Outside the office, George continues his creative endeavors through cinematography.  Partnering with his brother, the pair write, direct and shoot independent short films, the most recent of which premiered at the Local Sightings Film Festival where it received the 3rd place Audience Award.
