Barrett McBride Designer
Barrett spent the first ten years of his career in engineering firms, working with BIM on projects from residential mid-rises to the expansion of the Panama Canal. In 2008, he moved from Oklahoma to Seattle to study architecture at the University of Washington and explore the west coast. After receiving degrees in architecture and urban planning (cep), he helped launch two startups. Localisto.org, an app to help government collect public feedback and MakrBox.com, a marketplace for artisan goods from the Pacific Northwest. Now officially working in architecture, he enjoys projects that impact neighborhood communities around Seattle. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and trips to the North Cascades.
