Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Aileen Park moved to the Seattle area nearly a decade ago and quickly fell in love with the unique landscape she feels is like no other. She attended the University of Washington, where she earned her B. Arch, and attributes her pursuit in design to appreciating buildings that she found inspiring and captured her curiosity. “I think it’s fascinating how architecture is an interdisciplinary field. You can study all kinds of different fields and apply it to architecture." Aileen is particularly interested in the opportunity to positively influence people through design — how people interact with space and how it can motivate them to be creative or how it can bring a community together. This fascination stems into her time outside the office through her desire in exploring cities and and appreciate the considerations made by other cultures when it comes to materials as well as space.
